As a recently accepted postgraduate at UCT, you may need some guidance for registering, setting up and getting started with your research. Registration is the first step: without it you won't have access to the required facilities and resources, including supervision.
By registering you will get your student card, which gives you access to a range of services. Your UCT student number and password also give you access to online, computing and other administration services.
Finding a supervisor will be key to your research success, so make this a priority – if you haven't already.
These pages will guide you through the procedures you need to follow at UCT when you first arrive and they may be a useful reference at points throughout your postgraduate journey.
